NEED 3DS FILES FROM THE INTERNET TO EXTRACT AND SVE TO MY IMPORT 3DS MODEL IN CARVCO.
THANKS MIKE FOR YOUR REPLY.
IS THERE A SITE WHERE I CAN EXTRACT 3DS FILES TO DOWNLOAD AND SAVE TO MY IMPORT 3DS MODEL?
I AM NOT SO GOOD IN DRAWING POLYLINES TO MAKE MODELS. I DON'T KNOW IF THERE IS AN EASIER WAY TO DO IT, BUT USING THE POLYLINE IS DIFFICULT TO ME.
IS THERE AN EASIER WAY? PLEASE HELP ME.

I have found that for me there is great satisfaction in me making most of my files (models) 3d if you will.
Most of what I do starts with good vectors. The poly-line is easiest to remember as a starting place, if you need a straight one draw a rectangle then delete 3 sides, or practice until you know how to do it. with your vectors drawn you can edit your nodes, move them around, use photos to draw lines around subjects, very important to get good at this and once you do you will find you get a pleasure out of doing it.
Go out into the internet find something simple, say like a foot ball, or a cartoon, something that isn't too complex then run some lines, then edit your nodes, move them around get them closer to your new model, do one chunk at a time till you have all the lines you need to make your 2d photo into a 3d model, there are enough tools in carveco to weld, cut and so many other things to get a nice model to cut out. When I first got artcam, I think I had it maybe 2 years and my oldest son got shot in a skirmish I freaked out made a Purple-heart award, I know it can be done, it just takes a concerted efferent, total concentration, I have had no training in a school, or any class, I can only point you to the software.

Got an idea for you to practice drawing vectors here's a photo I got off the internet start with it. This is a 4by8 sheet of plywood, it's a puzzle peace after you get it drawn then cut it out.
