Should we have more topics in the community?

Please share your thoughts so that we can shape the community to your requirements. Wherever possible, we will adapt the community structure to meet your needs. To get things started, would you like to see specific topics for each of the different industry groups using Carveco software?

As suggested, we've introduced a few industry-specfic topics to the community. We're happy to include additional topics as and when they're requested. Enjoy!

Yes, Chris. In the interest of maintaining a clean format, I would like to see industry groups added to the community topics, such as Jewelry and general Woodworking. It would definitely make it easier to follow your respective trade discussions.

    Thanks,

    Gary

  • Sorry about the caps, I was having trouble with the small text format. I didn't realize Header 4 would convert all text to caps! A wider choice of fonts or text styles would be nice.

    Thanks,

    Gary

  • Good ideas Gary. That's a great place to start.

Question: Are there plans for (or am I missing something here) for more post options on this forum? I didn't see the ability to quote, multi-quote, post basic everyday non-photo files like PDF, .CON, ZIP (for the purposes of community help with vector files, PostP or RLF/ART files) et al and I didn't see a way to send a personal message to another user.

I understand that we want to avoid the file sharing 'free for all' prevalent on some other sites & PM spam & agree with preventing that totally...but not at the expense of effective, legitimate sharing of info and communication.

    Thoughts? Tips?

Unfortunately, there are currently no tools for automatically quoting from posted comments within a topic, but this functionality has already been requested from our community service provider. The same applies to attachments and direct messaging. Please be patient and allow us time to work with our service provider in trying to influence their development roadmap.

While there are limitations, any comment or topic posted to the community can be escalated to a support ticket by a support agent. Therefore, you can be sure that you'll receive the expected level of support from our company. You can attach files to your support tickets, and view your support requests from the Help Centre itself; see How can I view my support requests?

  • Hello, it would be interesting to create a section like... "talk about the ceramic sector".

    Thank you

As suggested, a Ceramics Talk topic has been created here.

  • I found it difficult to navigate to, adding more categories wont help if hardly anyone participates.

I did a search, and ended up seeing a few postings but there was no way of clicking to a "main page" like other forums, instead just the option of reading posting rules.
